#273161 "Amy Cat" is a loving, affectionate ball of furry love!!! She was adopted from the BCSPCA as a healthy kitten. She's still a young cat but due to no blood vessels in her retinas, she went progressively blind. Amy Cat has no pain and there is no treatment to cure her blindness. She can still live a wonderful, happy life. Please ask the staff about 8 ways to help a blind cat. Here's what her previous owner had to say about this fabulous feline: She's super affectionate, LOVES having her head scratched along with under her chin and she will melt against you when scratching her lower back. She does not claw furniture, only her own scratching surfaces(once shown where they are located). If allowed, she will cuddle her human when sleeping or not, as you indicate. When you talk to her, she'll talk back. She will meow to echo-locate as well as, to make sure her human is where she left them. She's playful with toys that make a noise. She must be an indoor only cat and it's important to keep her food/water bowls, litter box and pet beds in the same spot. Blind pets memorize and mind-map their home. Amy cat will continue to enjoy and remain engaged in life and the world around her. Kitties don't need to see you to love you!
